SXSW Tribute: Wedding Themes

March 18, 2015

Make your wedding an extension of yourself! Don’t be afraid to “theme” your wedding. With the right elements, a theme can add a beautiful twist to your wedding.  If you have a passion you want to share, carry that throughout your special day. Subtle hints of the things you love will give your wedding an intimate feel and something exciting for your guests to experience. Our featured styled shoot was all about the MUSIC!

Try incorporating your theme in refined ways that will still allow you to achieve what you envision. Use our tips and tricks to keep a classic wedding style without becoming too theme-y. The little details of the wedding can tie back to your overall theme in such a fun way, making guests say, “well look at that” instead of, “oh that’s too much”.

Some ideas from the professionals:

  • With assigned seating, tie the escort card to a themed favor (literally) for your guests
  • Transform a standard centerpiece by incorporating a themed item (but don’t forget the fragrant floral)
  • Look at the table settings for each guest, there are ways to DIY or create another opportunity here to let your theme shine

This special day and the elements that make this event shine are the details that are unique to you, and your groom to be. Tell us what makes you and your wedding plans unique to you…
